I already had Ryan Fitzpatrick projected and ranked ahead of
Geno Smith so Geno’s broken jaw and 6-10 week recovery time
didn’t need to be accounted for in my rankings.
Matt Cassel (+4) – While none of the Buffalo QBs have separated
themselves, it appears its Cassel’s job to lose. All Bills’
QBs are off the fantasy radar.
Running Backs
Carlos Hyde (-4) – The 49ers are a mess right now, and
while I love Hyde’s opportunity in an offense that’s
run-focused this is looking like a sub-500 team that won’t
be running the ball in the 4th quarter.
Joique Bell (-2) – It’s looking like we’ll
get a RBBC between Bell and rookie Abdullah.
Montee Ball (+11) – I flip-flopped Ball and Ronnie Hillman
as it appears Ball has the inside track on being Anderson’s
backup.
Wide Receivers
Allen Robinson (+9) – Robinson seems overvalued at his
current ADP in Round 6 but he’s likely to lead the team
in receiving.
Victor Cruz (+11) – Reports from practice remain encouraging.
I need to see him in preseason games before moving him any higher.
Breshad Perriman (-6) – Perriman (knee) continues to miss
valuable practice time which is never good for a rookie wide receiver.
Tight Ends
Josh
Hill (-3) – It’s becoming clear that Hill is going to share
some of the load with Ben
Watson.
Kyle
Rudolph (+6) – Rudolph comes with a huge amount of injury
risk but appears locked in as the TE1. Fellow TE MyCole
Pruitt is a sleeper to keep your eye on in a TE friendly offense.
