Aaron
Rodgers (-2) – dropped a TD and some passing yards for Rodgers
in the wake of Jordy Nelson’s injury. Rodgers is still the No.2
quarterback on my board but the gap between him and the rest closed
just a little bit.
Running Backs
Ronnie Hillman (+17) – Hillman seems to be the flavor of
the week among a couple beat writers in Denver. I actually think
Hillman is a better fit as the backup to Anderson but it’s
difficult to tell at this point what the coaches are thinking.
This situation isn’t set in stone and likely won’t
be until after the third preseason game.
Jordy
Nelson (dropped) – Nelson will miss the 2015 season with a
knee injury.
Davante Adams (+30) – Adams benefits the most from Nelson’s
injury but fantasy owners shouldn’t expect him to post Nelson’s
WR1 numbers from last season. Adams however is certainly in WR2
territory given his quarterback and the powerful offense he’s
a part of.
Randall Cobb (+2) – Cobb’s role is largely unchanged
but should get a slight boost as Rodgers primary target. He was
a borderline WR1 before Nelson got hurt but should flirt with
100 catches and will be a monster in PPR leagues.
Ty Montgomery (+25) – The rookie has been getting work
with the first team in three wide receiver sets. We’ll get
a better feel for the workload between Montgomery and Jeff Janis
as the week progresses.
Tight Ends
Richard Rodgers (+4) – Rodgers stands to get a few more
redzone looks with Nelson out of the lineup. He’s still
a TE2 for fantasy purposes but is definitely a more intriguing
prospect than he was last week.
