'No Question' Rawls plays in season opener
Ankle surgery
By: Jake Gordon | Aug 31 2016, 5:20 pm

Rawls' recovery from a broken ankle, which ended his season last December, is going along as planned. On Wednesday, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Rawls will be out there for the Seahawks' season opener against the Dolphins two Sundays from now. "He continued to have a great week," Carroll said, per ESPN. "There's no question that he looks to be able to play in the opener." (CBSSports.com)

FFToday's Take: Thomas Rawls continues to be a tantalizing option for fantasy owners after the first two rounds are completed. Despite the rosy picture Pete Carroll continues to paint for fantasy owners, there is real risk in drafting a running back coming off ankle surgery with a violent running style. Additionally, the news surrounding the latest version of Christine Michael continues to fuel speculation that his potential is beginning to translate onto the field. Considering DeMarco Murray and Jonathan Stewart offer similar upside and risk a round or two later, Rawls' is slightly over-valued heading into the year.
