Giants forced to look to Paul Perkins
Rookie RB "ready to step up"
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Sep 27 2016, 11:00 am

Orleans Darkwa ran well against the Redskins, with 10 carries for 53 yards. Diminutive Bobby Rainey can duplicate some of Vereen’s skills as a pass-catcher — though he has had fumbling issues in his career — and rookie Paul Perkins, a fifth-round pick from UCLA, will have to be brought along. HC Ben McAdoo said, "Perkins is ready to step up." Asked how he will replace Vereen, McAdoo said "by committee." (New York Post)

FFToday's Take: With Shane Vereen down for most if not all of the season and Rashad Jennings dealing with a thumb injury, the Giants will likely activate Perkins in Week 4 and get him some touches. He's a RB4 with additional dynasty value.
