The Oakland Raiders have filed paperwork to move to Las Vegas. Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak told The Associated Press on Thursday that he learned from Raiders officials that the team was asking NFL owners to approve the move. (AP)
FFToday's Take:The franchise returned to Oakland in 1995 but have been based in California since their inception in 1960. It seems only a matter of time before the Raiders will officially call Las Vegas home, which will be a sad day for one of the strongest and most unique fan bases in the league. The Raiders will reportedly continue to play in Oakland for at least the next two seasons, so there figures to be plenty of awkward moments in the meantime.
