| Gronk will play versus Jets Thigh contusion By: Jake Gordon | Oct 11 2017, 1:30 pm

| FOXBORO - Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski's absence will be limited to one game. Gronk missed the Pats’ victory against the Buccaneers last Thursday due to a thigh contusion that resulted from a leg whip four days earlier against the Panthers, according to a source. But at this point, Gronkowski will be ready Sunday when the Patriots meet the Jets at MetLife Stadium. As for the delayed designation on the injury report, contusions can often worsen in the days after impact. But now a week and a half later, all signs point toward Gronkowski returning to game action this weekend in New Jersey.

FFToday's Take: Rob Gronkowski will play a pivotal role this weekend as the Patriots take on a feisty Jets defense that has limited opponents to 21.2 points per game this season. Barring a setback in practice this week, Gronk should be in all lineups for Week 6.
