Norv Turner set to run offense in Carolina
Spent 2017 out of football after resigning from Vikings in 2016
By: Doug Orth | Jan 11 2018, 7:55 pm

Source say the Panthers have “agreed in principle” for Norv Turner to become their OC. (NFL.com - Tiffany Blackmon)

FFToday's Take: Turner's offenses are vertical-based in their nature - good for Cam Newton - but tend to feature deep drops - which may not be the best thing for Newton. While Turner tends to serve as a boon to running backs, he also has very little experience with dual-threat quarterbacks. HC Ron Rivera obviously opted for familiarity over fit here, making for what seems like an odd marriage between coordinator and quarterback.
