Seattle Seahawks

Rashaad Penny gaining trust
Rookie handing pass-blocking assignments well
By: Doug Orth | Jun 14 2018, 9:00 pm

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll suggested Thursday (June 14) the team already trusts first-round RB Rashaad Penny in pass protection. (Seahawks.com)

FFToday's Take: The surprise first-round pick was arguably the worst in his draft class when it came to picking up the blitz, and the fact Seattle has addressed the topic multiple times publicly suggests the team knows it is an issue. Penny may be nailing all of his assignments so far, but the answer to whether or not he's really improved until the pads come on. The draft capital the Seahawks spent on the rookie means he should lead the team in carries by a mile, making him a worthy RB2 candidate in most leagues.
