More clarity: Rex Burkhead is dealing with a slight tear in his knee, but it’s been deemed a minor injury and something he’ll be able to play through. Since it’s the preseason, maintenance takes the priority over everything else. (Jeff Howe on Twitter) FFToday's Take: Burkhead has missed the last few practices with an undisclosed injury and Howe reportedly earlier that he likely would've played in Preseason game No.2 if it were a regular season game. The "tear" associated with a knee injury doesn't sound good but it appears this is something the Patriots feel comfortable with Burkhead playing through this season.
