Jalen Richard earns Charlie Garner comp
Gruden: "He might be the MVP on this team."
By: Doug Orth | Nov 19 2018, 6:55 pm

HC Jon Gruden said Jalen Richard reminds him of Charlie Garner. "He might be the MVP of this team. ... He could run for 1,000 yards and catch for 1,000 yards someday. He is tough, hard to tackle. And he can line up in the slot or outside." (The Athletic - Vic Tafur)

FFToday's Take: Start up the hype train. Kidding aside, while Gruden's comp isn't totally unfair, Week 11 probably would not have been the first time Richard played more than 30 snaps since Marshawn Lynch's injury if the coach really felt this way. Game script is obviously going to work in Richard's favor more often than not going forward in 2018, however, as there is a very distinct chance he ends up as Oakland's most productive fantasy back. He's a capable flex with upside for more.
