Jaguars decline option on Austin Seferian-Jenkins Tight end becomes a free agent By: Mike Krueger | Feb 18 2019, 4:30 pm
Jaguars announced they are not picking up the option for TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, which was for $4m.
Contract language was: option had to be exercised on or before 22nd day prior to 1st day of 2019 league year, which was today.
He'll be a free agent on 3/13. (Adam Caplan on Twitter)
FFToday's Take:ASJ was part of the 2018 dumpster fire at the tight end position accumulating 11 catches for 90 yards and 1 TD in five games before missing the rest of the season with a core muscle injury. James O'Shaughnessy and Blake Bell are also free agents, meaning Jacksonville will be addressing the position via free agency or the draft.
