Bucs likely parting ways with Winslow -- Mon May 21 6:00 pm --
Could be nearing deal with ex-Colt Dallas Clark | Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Kellen Winslow, for whom the Bucs yielded a second- and fifth-round pick in 2009, has been told by HC Greg Schiano that the Bucs are attempting to trade him.
Winslow, appearing on SiriusXM NFL Radio this morning, said Schiano told him the Bucs are moving in a different direction. A factor in the decision, Winslow said, was his decision to do his offseason work elsewhere, something he has often done during his tenure with the team.
Scout.com is now reporting the Bucs signed ex-Colt Dallas Clark. (Tampa Bay Times)
FF Today's Take: Schiano is a no-nonsense coach and has little tolerance for players unwilling to play by his rules, so Winslow will most likely be released in the coming days. Clark figures to sign around the veteran's minimum and probably wouldn't be much more than a 15-20 play/game TE in the Bucs' new run-heavy offense. Winslow could resurface in Carolina with Rob Chudzinski - his former OC in Cleveland - if he is released, but Clark's days as a fantasy contributor are likely over.
