Freeman trying to cut down errors     -- Mon May 28 6:50 pm --

New Bucs OC hoping to recapture QB's 2010 success
In 2010, Josh Freeman threw six interceptions. Last year, Freeman threw 22 picks and that was a big reason why the Bucs dropped from 10 wins to six wins. It’s also a big reason why there’s a new coaching staff in Tampa this year. One of those new coaches is working to turn Freeman back in the right direction. New OC Mike Sullivan spoke about his plans for Freeman this offseason. Cutting down on those interceptions is right at the top of the list. (Pro Football Talk)

FF Today's Take: One of Freeman's problems last season may have been his over-reliance on new Seahawks TE Kellen Winslow. According to ESPN, 10 of Freeman’s 22 interceptions came on passes intended for Winslow. This season, Freeman will have considerably more talent to work with - namely Vincent Jackson - along with what projects to be a solid running game led by rookie Doug Martin. As a result, Freeman could enjoy a dramatic bounceback season.
