Ochocinco hopes to join Miami Dolphins -- Sat Jun 9 1:30 pm --
Free agent WR claims he's being hotly pursuited | After the New England Patriots released Chad Ochocinco on Thursday, we couldn't help but ponder if the veteran wideout had reached the end of the line. The league has gone silent, for now. We haven't heard of a team chasing after Ochocinco, but if he has his way, the Miami Dolphins will pick up the phone. CBSSports.com reported Saturday that "if his prayers were to be answered," Ochocinco would continue his career with the Dolphins, according to sources in contact with the receiver. Ochocinco hinted Friday that he's being courted (depending on how you interpret one of his 37,000-plus tweets). (NFL.com)
FF Today's Take: Ochocinco is 34 years old, but he's only one season removed from a 67-reception, 831-receiving yard campaign with the Cincinatti Bengals. Perhaps in a less complex offense Ochocinco can become a regular contributor again, but his 1000-receiving yard seasons are long behind him.
