Three-time Pro Bowl QB unlikely to play in NFL again | Daunte Culpepper, the greatest player in University of Central Florida football history, returned Saturday to participate in the inaugural Orlando Youth Football Clinic near the Florida Citrus Bowl.
Besides providing instruction for about 200 youths, Culpepper conceded his days of playing in the NFL likely are over. Culpepper threw for more than 24,000 yards during an 11-year career. (Orlando Sentinel)
FF Today's Take: The 49ers considered signing Culpepper last season as a third quarterback, but eventually went wih Scott Tolzien. The 11th overall pick in the 1999 draft, Culpepper finished his career with a 149:106 TD-to-INT ratio, along with 34 more rushing touchdowns.
