Miami lining Clay up all over the field-- Sun Jul 15 7:45 pm -- Team "convinced" hybrid TE will play key role
The Dolphins are more convinced than ever that they have a dangerous weapon in Charles Clay, who lined up at receiver and tight end and often found seams for 8-25 yard chunks. If he’s this open against other defenses, he’s going to be trouble. (Miami Herald)
FF Today's Take:The big news here isn't so much that Clay is seeing time at receiver and tight end - his college position - but that Miami's coaching staff realizes he can be a difference maker. The Dolphins' receiving corps is short on playmakers, making it increasingly possible that he will have fantasy value this season. Assuming he has TE eligibility in your league, he makes for an interesting late-round TE2 pick for deep-league owners.
