Injury Skelton unlikely to play     -- Thu Sep 13 6:15 pm --

Right ankle sprain
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt is inching closer to acknowledging that Kevin Kolb will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's game at New England. Whisenhunt said Thursday that ''it doesn't look great'' for John Skelton being able to play as he recovers from the ankle injury sustained in last Sunday's season opener against Seattle. (AP)

FF Today's Take: HC Ken Whisenhunt stated that Kevin Kolb has had a good week in practice and he'll likely be named the Week 2 starter before the team heads to New England. Kolb has never played against the Patriots and would be a desperation play if given the nod.
