Smith, Stewart expected to play Sunday -- Fri Sep 14 6:25 pm --
Panthers likely to have key offensive weapons available | Panthers coach Ron Rivera says he expects receiver Steve Smith and running back Jonathan Stewart will play Sunday against New Orleans, although both are listed as questionable on Carolina's injury report. Smith has been wearing a brace this week in practice because of soreness in his right knee. However, Rivera says Smith had a good day of practice and that "I'd be surprised if he doesn't play." (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Monitor both players heading into Sunday. If Smith is limited, wide receiver Brandon LaFell could see increased targets. If Jonathan Stewart is still hurt, DeAngelo Williams might have an increased workload but that doesn't necessarily make him fantasy relevant, as he showed last week in a six-carry, negative-one yard performance.
