Sprained left shoulder
Elvis Dumervil hasn't practiced all week but plans to test his sprained left shoulder at practice Friday in hopes the Broncos (6-3) will clear him to face the Chargers (4-5). The two-time Pro Bowl defensive end was injured at Carolina last weekend but medical tests this week showed no torn muscles or ligaments. (AP)

FF Today's Take: A healthy Dumervil would make the Denver defense a quality starting option against the Chargers. At home the Broncos host a quarterback in Phillip Rivers that has thrown an interception in 7 of 9 games and has been sacked 22 times this season-tied for 2nd most in the AFC.
