Injury Rudolph, Smith suffer concussions     -- Mon Nov 26 1:50 am --

Vikings' tight end, safety leave early in Week 12
Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith and tight Kyle Rudolph each left Sunday's game against the Bears with concussion symptoms. Smith was injured while knocking Chicago receiver Earl Bennett out of bounds on a play early in the third quarter. Teammates immediately called team doctors onto the field, but Smith left under his own power and appeared to be trying to flex his neck on the bench before heading to the locker room for evaluation. Rudolph left in the fourth quarter and also went to the locker room for evaluation. (ESPN 1500 Twin Cities)

FF Today's Take: Losing Rudolph would be a big blow to Christian Ponder, who was already without Percy Harvin in Week 12. Although the team likes Rhett Ellison and paid John Carlson a lot of money this offseason, neither player is the fantasy option Rudolph is. Minnesota's secondary was already falling apart after losing CB Chris Cook, so it can ill-afford a long-term absence from Smith.
