Patriots lose versatile WR | Julian Edelman has been placed on injured reserve. CBS Boston has reported that Edelman’s injury as a broken foot. The Patriots have already used their “IR designated for return” spot on Visanthe Shaincoe. Edelman will be a free agent in 2013, and this most recent injury could cost him in dollars. (CBS Boston)
FF Today's Take: The Patriots will miss Edelman more than fantasy owners will. Although Edelman has had back-to-back touchdown games, but the Patriots will miss Edelman’s ability to play offense, defense, and special teams. Edelman’s injury, combined with Rob Gronkowski’s, will cause the Patriots to facilitate their offense through Aaron Hernandez even more than they already have.
