Injury RGIII has Grade 1 sprain     -- Mon Nov 12 11:24 am --

Despite sprain, Griffin may be able to play Sunday
Robert Griffin III has a Grade 1 LCL sprain in his right knee. A Grade 1 sprain is the least severe kind a sprain and means that his knee ligament was stretched to the point that there may be some very minor tears. Players have been able to play through this injury in the past with the use of a knee brace. "You're hoping with rehab it gets better very quickly," coach Mike Shanahan said. "But we don't know for sure. ... He's definitely not ruled out for the Cleveland game." (Associated Press)

FF Today's Take: Beyond the concern that fantasy owners have for Griffin is the concern owners have for his performance over the last two weeks. In Weeks 13 and 14 Griffin was unable to score more than 18 points and goes against an underrated defense (Cleveland) in Week 15. The Browns have only allowed 25 points to fantasy QBs over the last three weeks and are 10th in the NFL against the pass in 2012.
