MJD done looking for new deal-- Fri Jan 11 8:00 pm -- RB sidelined until at least May
Maurice Jones-Drew apparently is finished lobbying for a new deal from the Jacksonville Jaguars. "I went to them last year," Jones-Drew said during the interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio. "It didn't work out. I'm not going to reach out to them because, you know, I just feel like I tried that last year (and) it didn't work." Jones-Drew rushed for just 414 yards and one touchdown before suffering a season-ending foot injury on Oct. 21. Jones-Drew underwent surgery on his injured left foot on Dec. 28 and will be sidelined at least until May. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take:This injury-plagued season marked the first in Jones-Drew's career that he failed to produce at least 1100 yards from the line of scrimmage. He'll also be 28 at the start of next season, entering the twilight of his career as an NFL running back, so his best fantasy days are very likely behind him.
