The Patriots have officially ended Rob Gronkowski's season.
The team placed Gronkowski on injured reserve on Thursday, confirming all the reports that the Pro Bowler would not be able to return to the field this season because of his forearm injury. Gronkowski's absence will open up a roster spot for the Patriots. He reportedly underwent surgery earlier this week.
FF Today's Take:No surprise here after Gronk recovers from his second forearm injury of the season. This injury will create more opportunity for fellow TE Aaron Hernandez in this weekend's AFC Championship game. As for 2013, Gronk is expected to get healthy and be amongst the top fantasy options at his position.
