Titus Young threatening not to play -- Wed Jan 23 6:15 pm --
"If I'm not going to get the football I don't want to play" | Titus Young just has a difficult time staying away from controversy. The Lions have been patient with their disgruntled receiver largely because, as coach Jim Schwartz admitted, "He's a very talented player." But his comments on Twitter on Tuesday might have enhanced his reputation as a selfish player who learned little from being benched and deactivated for insubordination last season. "Never have I ran the wrong route, just put my self where the ball was going," Young wrote. He also wrote: "Like I said I never been selfish but if I'm not going to get the football i don't want to play anymore." (Detroit News)
FF Today's Take: There's no denying Young's talent, but the speedster has been surrounded by controversy so far during his two-year NFL career. As a result, he is anything but an ideal fantasy receiver. The risk has simply not been the reward thus far with Young.
