Injury Clady to have shoulder surgery     -- Tue Jan 29 2:00 pm --

Broncos look to ink their LT for the long term
Broncos impending free agent LT Ryan Clady will undergo shoulder surgery and is expected to miss most of the offseason. Clady is expected to be ready for the 2013 season opener, but the Broncos biggest concern when it comes to the left tackle is working out a long term contract. If the Broncos and Clady are unable to come to a conclusion on a contract, the left tackle will most likely get the franchise tag. It was reported that Clady turned down a five-year, $50 million extension last offseason, and it is likely that he will receive much more in the way of financial compensation this year. (Denver Post)

FF Today's Take: Clady has never missed a game in the NFL and has been everything the Broncos could ask for. However, the Broncos just signed Peyton Manning to a $100 million deal, Von Miller will need to get his deal soon, and Elvis Dumervil is on the third year of a $61.5 million contract, which the Broncos will likely ask him to restructure.
