Shoulder issue corrected; toe injury still a concern
Pierre Garcon received clearance to practice fully when the Washington Redskins for training camp next week. Garcon, who earlier this offseason had surgery to repair the labrum in his right shoulder, had a checkup with Dr. James Andrews earlier this week and received a clean bill of health. Garcon missed all of Washington’s offseason practices while recovering from the shoulder surgery, but he worked on the side with quarterback Robert Griffin III.
The shoulder is good,” Garcon said in June. It should be good to go.” (Washington Post)
FF Today's Take:Although it is good to hear Garcon's shoulder is doing fine, it should be his toe - the second one on his right foot to be exact - that should concern Redskins fans and fantasy owners more. He tore ligaments in that toe in Week 1 but opted not to have surgery on it after the season because doctors couldn’t give him assurance that the procedure would correct the injury. He is expected to wear a custom-made shoe this coming season.
