Cobb, Nelson good to against Niners-- Thu Sep 5 6:30 pm --
Neither WR listed on injury report
Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson played only two snaps in the preseason - the first two plays of the finale at Kansas City - because of injuries, but the Green Bay Packers receiving duo appears to be full go for Sunday’s season opener at San Francisco. Neither was even listed on the team’s injury report.
Cobb missed the first three preseason games because of a nagging biceps injury.
“I’m not having any problems with it,” Cobb said Thursday. “I’m good to go.”
Nelson underwent knee surgery on Aug. 5 and returned to practice 20 days later.
“Jordy looks good,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. “He looks like he’s back to himself. He’s had a couple of weeks to get ready for this, so I feel very good about where Jordy is.” (ESPN)
FF Today's Take:Great news for owners who took Cobb and Nelson. Aaron Rodgers said earlier this offseason that Cobb could be "a 100-plus catch guy every year" while Nelson is arguably the team's best all-around receiver. Cobb is a solid WR1 in PPR leagues and Nelson has that kind of upside if he can stay healthy.
