| Fitzgerald "wore down" in Week 2 -- Mon Sep 16 4:20 pm --|
Dealing with hamstring injury
|Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald entered Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. And he exited Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury. Per a team spokesman, Fitzgerald wore down in the second half of the win over the Lions before leaving.
The good news, at least for now, is that it appears Fitzgerald didn’t make the injury any worse. Still, there’s only one way to fully heal a hamstring problem: Rest. And that doesn’t appear to be something Fitzgerald is inclined to do. (Pro Football Talk)|
FF Today's Take: Fitzgerald responded to pregame reports that he was at 80% after the game by saying, "I wish I was." The seven-time Pro Bowler played in only 49 of the 75 offensive snaps, but has no doubt he will play in Week 3. Expect Fitzgerald to miss a full week of practice and be a game-time decision ahead of Week 3's showdown with the New Orleans Saints. Much like Roddy White in Atlanta, Arizona could opt to use Fitzgerald as a decoy until he is closer to 100%.
