Flynn back with the Pack Meeting with Giants didn't happen By: Mike Krueger | Apr 15 2014, 3:08 pm
Matt Flynn, the backup quarterback who helped save the Green Bay Packers last season after Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone, will return to the team.
He reached an agreement on a new contract with the Packers on Tuesday, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take:Flynn was reportedly scheduled to meet with the Giants today but that meeting never materialized. Flynn spent 2008-2011 as Rodgers' backup and will return to that role in 2014. Head coach Mike McCarthy has hinted that he would like to keep three QBs on the roster to start the season, meaning Scott Tolzien's roster spot could be safe.
