Cowboys place franchise tag on Dez Bryant
Long term deal still in discussion

The Cowboys have put the franchise tender on Dez Bryant, submitting the paperwork necessary to the NFL office, a source confirmed. The move comes as no surprise. The tender prevents Bryant from hitting the free agent market in eight days and guarantees him $12.82 million for the 2015 season as the two sides continue to work on a long-term contract. (Dallas Morning News)

FFToday's Take: A long term contract can still be worked out until July 15 when the franchise tender becomes permanent for the season. Bryant has three straight 1,200-yard, 12-touchdown catch seasons.
