Jets rookie wideout expected to miss 4-6 weeks Broken ribs, punctured lung By: Mike Krueger | Aug 1 2015, 7:00 am
New York Jets wide receiver Devin Smith suffered broken ribs on Friday, the team announced. The rookie will miss the majority of training camp.
NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Saturday that Smith also suffered a punctured lung, but the injury is minor. The rookie is expected to miss four to six weeks. His status for the season opener on Sept. 13 is "iffy."

FFToday's Take:This injury derails Smith's chances at a significant role in the offense. Jeremy Kerley is entrenched in the No.3 role behind Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker.
