|Here’s a little secret. Hankerson is the Redskins receiver who makes the most sense taking your fantasy draft this summer and here is why. Some owner is going to overpay for Pierre Garcon’s upside. Another owner is going to overpay for Santana Moss’ past production given the reports that he was rejuvenated in this spring’s OTA’s. Another owner might think Josh Morgan is worth taking a late round flier on. And in the latter stages of your draft, Hankerson is going to be sitting there with most owners looking at his subpar rookie numbers of 13 receptions for 163 yards and no touchdowns and move to another player on their cheatsheet, leaving Hankerson for you. And you’re going to take him. He was productive at Miami, has solid size at 6’2” and 209 pounds to go along with excellent speed. In two starts in his rookie season, he caught 12 of 14 targets for 140 yards, including an eight-reception, 106-yard performance against Miami in which he suffered a season-ending hip injury. Monitor his pre-season progress but at this point, he ranks as a late-round flier in most leagues and waiver wire material in leagues with small rosters. He is a solid option in dynasty leagues.

Hankerson placed on IR with torn LCL
|Redskins wide receiver Leonard Hankerson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee, coach Mike Shanahan said. Shanahan said Josh Morgan will start in Hankerson’s place. (Washington Post)|
FF Today's Take: Morgan will be third in line for targets in the passing game behind Pierre Garcon and TE Jordan Reed so his fantasy value will hover in the WR4/5 range.

Concussion; Leonard Hankerson likely out for season
|Rookie TE Jordan Reed sustained a concussion Sunday. HC Mike Shanahan said Reed was undergoing the normal concussion protocol, and it won’t be known until later in the week if he’ll play Monday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
Shanahan also said Leonard Hankerson injured the LCL in his left knee during Sunday’s loss at Philadelphia, and MRI exam results were positive. The coach said it wouldn’t be known for a couple days whether the injury would require surgery, which would end Hankerson’s season. (Washington Post)|
FF Today's Take: Reed was in on just 33 snaps in Week 11, his lowest total in eight weeks and the results for Washington were predictable, especially since Pierre Garcon complained his ankle was "hurting him badly" following the team's loss to Philadelphia. Reed has emerged as an every-week starter in fantasy, making his potential absence next week a damaging one. Hankerson's loss likely clears the way for more playing time for Santana Moss, Josh Morgan and/or Aldrick Robinson.
