The Bucs 2011 4th round pick, Stocker played little as a rookie catching 12 passes for 92 yards in a reserve role behind Kellen Winslow. With Winslow having been traded to Seattle and Dallas Clark signed as a free agent, Stockerís chances for a bigger role in 2012 were increased. Given Clarkís poor blocking ability, Stocker has an opportunity to win the starterís job and the Bucs like his potential as a solid all-around tight end. However, he is unlikely to be a solid fantasy option this season splitting time with Clark and slot receiver Preston Parker coming off a breakout season in 2011. Grab Stocker off the waiver wire if he surprises early in 2012 and consider him a lower tier dynasty prospect.
ASJ could be sidelined 4-6 weeks, shoulder injury-- Tue Sep 22 2:45 pm --
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing the possibility of being without second-year tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins for at least the next month. Seferian-Jenkins suffered a shoulder strain during the Bucs 26-19 victory over the Saints on Sunday, an injury that could keep him out for a month, a source with knowledge of the situation said.
FF Today's Take:ASJ came out of the gate hot with 110 yards and 2 TDs in Week 1. He'll now be sidelined likely until Week 7. The Bucs have a bye in Week 6. Brandon Myers and Luke Stocker will see increased snaps at tight end, but both hold little fantasy value.
