| Shorts feels "rusty" in return to practice -- Sun Aug 17 1:36 pm --|
First real practice since April
|Jaguars standout receiver Cecil Shorts used the same word four times to describe his first practice in over three weeks.
"It felt good to be back out there with the guys," Shorts said. "I'm definitely rusty. So, I've got to continue to work and to not get frustrated. I understand this is really my first practice since April." (Florida Times-Union)|
FF Today's Take: Shorts has missed a good chunk of the preseason with hamstring issues but hopes to be ready for Week 1. He'll be monitored closely and any setback over the next couple weeks will certainly cause his ADP to plunge even further. His injury risk has caused him to drop into the 11th-round (WR52) in standard scoring 12-team leagues.
| Cecil Shorts bothered by nagging injuries -- Fri Jul 25 7:00 pm --|
Pulled from practice due to tightness in hamstring
|Receiver Cecil Shorts was pulled from practice because of tightness in his hamstring. Shortsí 2013 preseason was derailed by a strained calf and he was limited throughout the off-season program because of a similar injury. And today, he was held out of practice at the end with the hamstring problem. (Florida Times Union)|
FF Today's Take: With Justin Blackmon suspended indefinitely, Ace Sanders serving a four-game suspension and two rookies likely to see significant playing time, the Jaguars will need Shorts on the field more than ever this season. Shorts' injury risk is growing by the day and something fantasy owners should take note of.

Shorts not expected to practice all week
|Not practicing for the Jaguars: WR Marqise Lee (ankle), WR Cecil Shorts (calf), WR Allen Robinson (hamstring), WR Tandon Doss (calf). (Florida Times Union)|
FF Today's Take: Head coach Gus Bradley has stated that Shorts won't practice at all this week. Shorts' injury history is becoming lengthy and is the main reason his ADP is hovering around Round 10 in 12-team re-draft leagues. He should be ready to participate in training camp.

FF Today's Take: Both rookies, Lee (ankle) and Robinson (hamstring) are not expected to participate in Monday's OTA session. Ace Sanders is also missing time due to a hamstring injury while Shorts is sitting out with a calf injury. "Iíll try to go back there Monday, but itís out of my control. Itís the time of year to kind of chill,Ē Shorts said. "No need to rush it."

Lee day-to-day, Robinson could miss rest of offseason
|Jaguars second-round receivers Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee sat out the teamís organized team activity workout today because of injuries.
Lee is day to day with an ankle injury sustained last week - he did side-field work and did not seem to be bothered by his wrist injury (also last week). Robinson, though, could be out for the rest of the off-season program after being injured last Wednesday. (Florida Times-Union)|
FF Today's Take: Yahoo Sports reported last week that Robinson was running behind Cecil Shorts at "X" (split end) while Lee was spending most of his time at "Z" (flanker), so Robinson's redraft stock had already taken a sizable hit before this news that he could miss the rest of the offseason. Lee's injury does not sound overly serious and he should be expected to enter training camp as the starter opposite Shorts.
