| Foles cleared to practice -- Tue Oct 29 11:30 am --|
Foles to split reps with Barkley
|Eagles quarterback Nick Foles completed the NFL's concussion protocol and was cleared to practice Tuesday.
Foles was first in line for drills Tuesday, an indication he will prepare to start Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said before practice that Foles and No. 3 quarterback Matt Barkley would share reps. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Unless there is a setback it's likely that Foles will be the starter when the Eagles take on the Raiders this week. Along with Case Keenum, Foles will be an option for owners or Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford and Colin Kaepernick... all have byes this week.
| Vick feels hamstring "pop" -- Sun Oct 27 7:00 pm --|
Eagles QB leaves in first quarter
|Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick felt his left hamstring "pop" as he ran toward the New York Giants' sideline in the first quarter Sunday. "I felt the same feeling that I had the first time (he hurt the hamstring on Oct. 6)," Vick said. "I don't think it's as bad, but it did pop again. ... I've never had a hamstring injury this bad." (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Vick will have an MRI on Monday but its likely he's going to miss some time. Matt Barkley filled in for Vick and could possibly start in Week 9 if Nick Foles (concussion) isn't ready to play.
| Michael Vick to start Week 8 -- Tue Oct 22 9:30 am --|
Foles recovering from concussion
|Michael Vick will start for the Eagles at quarterback on Sunday against the New York Giants, according to an NFL source. Vick missed the last two games with a hamstring strain he suffered against the Giants on Oct. 6. Nick Foles replaced him and started in the next two games, going 1-1, but he suffered a concussion and is likely out for Sunday. Rookie Matt Barkley stepped in for Foles against the Cowboys on Sunday. (Philly.com)|
FF Today's Take: Foles had a dismal performance last Sunday against the Cowboys going 11-29, for 80 yards passing making Chip Kelly's decision to return to Vick and easy one. Vick will be a QB1 against the Giants suspect secondary.
| Vick declares himself out vs. Dallas -- Thu Oct 17 3:35 pm --|
Continues to recover from hamstring injury
|The Eagles' Michael Vick put an end to the suspense as to who would start at quarterback against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys.
Before Thursday's practice, Kelly said he would not rule Vick out for the Dallas game. He has been considered day to day by coach Chip Kelly and was even active for last Sunday's game in Tampa. Afterward, Vick ruled himself out. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Nick Foles, who was named NFC offensive player of the week for his Week 6 effort, will make his second start of the season. Dallas allows the most points to opposing quarterbacks, so Foles should be in line for another fine performance and a recommended start in all leagues.
| Vick's status uncertain for Week 7 -- Mon Oct 14 3:35 pm --|
Dressed as emergency QB in win over Bucs
|Michael Vick does not yet know if he’ll be healthy enough to start next week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. The injured quarterback was active for Sunday’s 31-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite a pulled left hamstring, and was dressed only as the emergency quarterback.
Eagles HC Chip Kelly said Vick could have played in an emergency situation on Sunday, but that Vick was not fully healthy. Vick emphasized that he cannot rush back from this type of injury and must exercise caution. (Philadelphia Inquirer)|
FF Today's Take: Nick Foles went 22-for-31 for 296 yards and three touchdowns against the Bucs, certainly doing more than enough to draw another start while Vick recovers. While Kelly is certainly creative enough to generate offense with either quarterback, the coach stated at the beginning of the season Vick was his choice. Expect Vick to start when he is back to full strength, presumably in another week or two.

Nick Foles to get the start Week 6
|Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will not play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of a hamstring injury, an NFL source familiar with the situation told ESPN.com on Saturday. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Nick Foles will get the start with Matt Barkley being the backup QB. The Bucs have allowed only five passing TDs in four games.
| Vick likely to miss Wk 6, maybe more -- Mon Oct 7 3:35 pm --|
|Michael Vick is expected to miss Sunday's Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of his hamstring injury, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Eagles coach Chip Kelly said Monday he hasn't made a decision on who will start at quarterback against the Buccaneers. On Sunday, after his team defeated the New York Giants, he said Vick was still the starting quarterback when he's healthy. (ESPN)|
FF Today's Take: Vick's injury history was the one thing holding him back from being labeled a fantasy QB1. Early reports have this being a multi-week injury. so Nick Foles will get a chance to prove his worth for the second straight season. Tampa Bay and Dallas are next on the schedule.
