Difficult to see Wallace remaining in Minnesota-- Mon Feb 15 9:45 am --
Team can cut WR without any salary cap ramifications
Is there any chance that the Vikings will actually keep Mike Wallace around? “I would like him back,” Zimmer said. “I just love the kid.” But he also acknowledged that the future is uncertain for Wallace, who is set to make $11.5 million in 2016. The Vikings can release him without any salary cap ramifications.(Stat-Tribune)
FF Today's Take:The Vikings could also ask Wallace (39-473-2) to take a pay cut but with him underperforming his nearly $10 million salary last season and being an odd fit for the Vikings offense, it would be surprising to see him released. Stefon Diggs and Jarius Wright (slot) appear to have solidified their roles in the offense, but a second outside receiver remains a priority.
