Injury McCoy expected to be active, could be limited     -- Sun Oct 23 3:05 am --

25-35 play pitch count
Bills' RB LeSean McCoy, listed as questionable with hamstring, is expected to play today but could be on 25-35 play pitch count, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: Reports early this week stated McCoy would miss Week 7 but that appears to be in question as McCoy was able to make it through a limited practice Friday. If McCoy suits up it will take some of the shine off Mike Gillislee.
Injury LeSean McCoy practices Friday, questionable     -- Fri Oct 21 11:45 am --

Ryan: "We're not ruling Shady out at all"
LeSean McCoy was front and center in the stretching line at Bills practice Friday and went through some basic pass-catching drills during the portion of practice that was open to media. Receiver Robert Woods and defensive tackle Marcell Dareus were not at the start of Friday's practice. (Buffalo News)

FF Today's Take: Rex Ryan went on to say: "We're not ruling Shady out at all. We'll be smart with him, but he looked pretty good [today]." It sounds like McCoy will be a gametime decision. If he sits, Mike Gillislee would get the start and be a solid RB2 against the Dolphins defense.
Injury McCoy not expected to play Week 7     -- Thu Oct 20 4:40 pm --

Could miss multiple weeks with hamstring injury
I'm told Bills RB LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is not playing this Sunday and could miss more time thereafter, depending on healing. (Josina Anderson on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: McCoy also battled hamstring injuries last season as well. Owners should be prepared for a multi-week absence, although there has been no indication yet this injury is anywhere near as serious as the one that sidelined McCoy for four weeks in 2015. Mike Gillislee is the next man up and should be expected to receive a fairly heavy workload, getting the occasional breather from Reggie Bush and Jonathan Williams. Gillislee should be treated as a RB2 until McCoy returns.
Injury McCoy, Woods miss practice Thursday     -- Thu Oct 20 12:45 pm --

Bills bitten by injury bug
Running back LeSean McCoy was not on the field during the open portion of Thursday's Bills practice after sustaining a hamstring injury Wednesday that put his availability for this week's game in question. If Robert Woods can't play Sunday, the Bills receiving corps would be comprised of Marquise Goodwin, Justin Hunter, Walter Powell and Brandon Tate. Ryan has said previously that the team also has plays for running back Reggie Bush to be used as a slot receiver. (Buffalo News)

FF Today's Take: The big news here is McCoy's hamstsring injury. Mike Gillislee would get the start against Miami if McCoy can't go. Given the run-heavy scheme in Buffalo, Gillislee would be on the RB2 radar.
Injury LeSean McCoy exits practice early     -- Wed Oct 19 4:06 pm --

Tight hamstring
LeSean McCoy left practice early with a hamstring injury. Bills coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday the running back's hamstring was tight and will be checked by the medical staff. Ryan said he wasn't immediately sure of the severity of the injury. (

FF Today's Take: This is a noteworthy development considering LeSean McCoy's injury history and the Bills reliance on their star rusher. He'll likely miss practice Thursday and be questionable heading into the Bills' week 7 tilt with the Dolphins. Backup Mike Gillislee and his 5.7 YPC would see more touches in the event McCoy is unable to play.
Bills release RB Karlos Williams     -- Sat Aug 20 2:30 pm --

Four-game suspension
The team cut the second-year pro prior to its second preseason game against the New York Giants at New Era Field. Without Williams, the Bills will rely on Reggie Bush, Mike Gillislee, rookie Jonathan Williams and James Wilder Jr. to provide depth behind starter LeSean McCoy. (Buffalo News)

FF Today's Take: A four-game suspension and showing up to off-season workouts out of shape isn't going to make a good impression. Williams was very productive last season (9 TDs in eleven games) but the Bills have decided to cut ties leaving an unsettled RB group behind LeSean McCoy. Gillislee should get first crack at meaningful snaps.
