Injury Yeldon practices Thursday and Friday     -- Fri Oct 23 5:40 pm --

RB sat out last week with a groin injury
Jacksonville Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon practiced on Friday, according to NFL Network's Conor Orr. Yeldon missed Week 6 and every practice of the week preceding it due to a groin injury, but was able to return to practice at a limited capacity on Thursday and Friday. With two limited practices, and with him traveling to London with the team, signs point to Yeldon returning to action after a one-week absence. In the event of a setback, Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart would carry the workload once again, but odds aren't as strong for that to happen in Week 7. (SB Nation)

FF Today's Take: If Yeldon plays this weekend, expect the coaching staff to limit his touches, instead giving Denard Robinson and Toby Gerhart a share of the rookie's usual workload. For that reason, it'd be wise to steer clear from starting any Jags' RBs this week.
Injury Jags TE Julius Thomas practices in full     -- Wed Oct 21 4:08 pm --

Yeldon and Hurns miss practice
Running back T.J. Yeldon did not practice Wednesday as the Jaguars begin preparing for Sunday's game against Buffalo in London's Wembley Stadium. Strong safety Johnathan Cyprien (calf) also did not practice, as well as receiver Allen Hurns (thigh), receiver Marqise Lee (hamstring), free safety James Sample (shoulder) and defensive end Chris Clemons (rest). Receiver Allen Robinson (lower leg contusion) practiced Wednesday in limited fashion. Tight end Julius Thomas (rib contusion) was a full participant. (

FF Today's Take: Jacksonville's offense is a little banged up heading into Week 7. The status of both starting receivers is up in the air. Coming off a twelve-target game in Week 6, Bryan Walters would be a flex option in deeper leagues if Allen Robinson or Allen Hurns is unable to suit up against the Bills. The rib injury Julius Thomas sustained a week ago is a non-issue for fantasy owners. He should be in line for an increased role in the passing game and is a must start for Week 7. Meanwhile, rookie RB T.Y. Yeldon is likely going to miss his second week with a groin injury. Unfortunately, Toby Gerhart and Denard Robinson do not offer much fantasy upside as long as they are splitting the workload.
Injury T.J. Yeldon not practicing     -- Wed Oct 14 6:30 pm --

Groin injury
Toby Gerhart was the first team running back at Jaguars practice Wednesday because rookie T.J. Yeldon missed practice with a groin injury. Coach Gus Bradley didn’t seem sure if Yeldon would be ready to play Sunday against Houston. “T.J. was out there for the walk through, but he didn’t go through any practice this afternoon,’’ Bradley said. (

FF Today's Take: It's looking iffy for T.J. Yeldon this week. Toby Gerhart ran with the first team Wednesday and he would step into more playing time should Yeldon be held out. Gerhart is healthier and is running better than he was last year, but Denard Robinson's return to practice adds more uncertainty to this backfield. On the season, Jacksonville is averaging less than 100 rushing yards per game and has yet to notch a rushing touchdown. Only the adventurous deep league owner should wade into these waters.
T.J. Yeldon listed as starter for Week 1     -- Tue Sep 8 9:30 am --

Jags rookie safe to deploy as RB2/FLEX with upside
AP reporter Mark Long reported on Twitter that rookie RB T.J. Yeldon is listed as the Jaguars Week 1 starter ahead of veteran RB Denard Robinson. (Twitter)

FF Today's Take: While Robinson had a productive 2014 and Yeldon is still pretty raw, the Jags coaches apparently think he's far enough along to be the main ball carrier for the team and a three-down contributor. He's safe to deploy as a risky RB2/FLEX with some upside facing the Panthers this week.
