Lee, the Jaguars’ first second-round selection (No. 39 overall), will return to Jacksonville on Friday and sign the deal.
Per the NFL’s slotting system, Lee’s contract is expected to be worth $5,174,016 and include a $2,082,924 signing bonus and a first-year salary cap number of $940,731.
FF Today's Take:An athletic receiver from USC, Marqise Lee missed most of OTAs with a bum ankle. He represents part of the young core Jacksonville is trying to build around so getting him signed and in camp on time was imperative for a team in need of a new offensive identity. Lee could be in the mix to start but faces competition at the position where Ace Sanders and fellow rookie Allen Robinson are also competing.
