| No setbacks for Odell Beckham, Jr. in loss -- Tue Oct 20 11:20 am --|
Giants WR's hamstring injury seems to be improving
|According to the Newark Star-Ledger: "Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. appeared fast and quick in the first half. There was nary a sign that he was a player who hadn't practiced most of the week and was dealing with a hamstring injury." (NJ.com)|
FF Today's Take: Beckham admittedly wasn't 100 percent during the game against the Eagles, but he didn't take any steps back, and that's a step forward in a situation where the Giants' offense desperately needs an identity and some consistency from its WRs.
| Odell Beckham Jr. expected to play -- Mon Oct 19 11:28 am --|
|Despite a hamstring injury that kept Odell Beckham Jr. out of practice most of the week, the star wide receiver is expected to play against the Eagles barring a pregame setback, two individuals with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media. Beckham is officially listed as questionable for the contest. (NJ.com)|
FF Today's Take: OBJ has missed practice the entire week but Tom Coughlin had previously stated that Beckham didn't need to practice in order to play in the game. It's good news for Beckham owners but he will be at risk for re-injury during the game.

Giants vs. Eagles Monday night
|If Odell Beckham Jr. is unable to practice at all, does that preclude him from playing Monday night? Said Coughlin: "Does it preclude? No." (Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)|
FF Today's Take: Beckham tweaked his hamstring in Week 5 and has yet to practice this week. With the Giants playing Monday night, fantasy owners that have to make a call on Sunday morning should play it safe and the star WR out of linueps. Rueben Randle (hamstring) was able to practice Friday. Dwayne Harris would likely see increased opportunities if OBJ sits.

Terrelle Pryor among those attending
|With Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle struggling with hamstring injuries and Victor Cruz still sidelined with a calf problem, the Giants are on the lookout for wide receivers.
Among the players they worked out Wednesday during their weekly tryout were former quarterback Terrelle Pryor, former Jet T.J. Graham and A.J. Jenkins, three individuals with knowledge of the workout told NJ Advance Media.
FF Today's Take: New York's receiving corps is facing plenty of uncertainty heading into their Week 6 matchup against the Eagles on MNF. Odell Beckham Jr. seems to be slightly more likely to play than Rueben Randle yet the status of each player remains uncertain. Victor Cruz has struggled to return from a calf injury and would likely be limited if able to play. By Monday night Eli Manning may be throwing passes to one of six receivers who attended today's tryout.
| OBJ hopes to play with hamstring injury -- Wed Oct 14 11:30 am --|
Likely won't practice much this week
|Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has swelling in his hamstring area but still hopes to play on Monday night when the Giants face the Eagles in an important Monday Night Football contest, a person with knowledge of the situation told NJ Advance Media. Beckham had an MRI on Monday that did not show any serious tears. (NJ.com)|
FF Today's Take: Head coach Tom Coughlin said he hopes that Beckham can get some work end towards the end of the week. It sounds like the star wide receiver will be limited in practice and likely be listed as Questionable. OBJ plays Monday night, making lineup decisions tricky for fantasy owners.
| Beckham, Randle sustain Week 5 hamstring injuries -- Mon Oct 12 5:20 pm --|
Join Cruz as ailing Giants WRs
|The Giants saw their top two receivers - Odell Beckham Jr. and Rueben Randle - suffer hamstring injuries during Sunday night's win over the 49ers. Beckham returned to the game, while Randle did not, and both told reporters in the locker room they did not think their respective injuries were serious.
Victor Cruz was expected to be re-evaluated Monday, 10 days after his PRP injection into his injured calf, and the one-year anniversary of his torn patellar tendon. But Coughlin said he did not have any update, nor did he know Cruz was supposed to meet with doctors. (NJ.com)|
FF Today's Take: At the moment, the Giants are down to rookie Geremy Davis, Dwayne Harris and Myles White in terms of healthy receivers. Although Beckham returned to the game, he looked extremely tentative while New York was completing its game-winning drive. If Beckham and Randle are both held out of next Monday night's game against the Eagles, it is entirely possible that Harris and TE Larry Donnell end up as Eli Manning's top targets in that contest.

New York thin in the secondary
|The New York Giants will be without top cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for Thursday night's game against Washington, and wide receiver Victor Cruz will have to wait at least one more week for his return to the field. (ESPN.com)|
FF Today's Take: The injury to Dominick Rodgers-Cromartie leaves a defense that has been shredded the past two weeks with huge holes to fill in the secondary. Look for Kirk Cousins to test the Giants pass defense with Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon and company on Thursday night. Additionally, New York released Preston Parker this week and Victor Cruz remains sidelined leaving the door wide open for Rueben Randle to stake his claim in the passing offense behind Odell Beckham Jr.
