Ellington out with hip pointer, Taylor to start -- Fri Dec 5 6:00 pm --
Ellington misses third straight practice
The Arizona Cardinals will be without starting running back Andre Ellington against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The second-year back will miss the game because of a hip pointer suffered last weekend in Atlanta. Without Ellington in the lineup, the Cardinals will start Stepfan Taylor, coach Bruce Arians said. Marion Grice and fullback Robert Hughes, who didn't play an offensive snap against the Falcons, will fill out the backfield rotation. (ESPN)
FF Today's Take: Taylor has been named the starter but head coach Bruce Arians gave a response about playing the committee "by ear". Expected and Grice to see a fair amount of work. The uncertainty makes this a fantasy situation to avoid.

Gametime decision for Cardinals starting RB
Tailback Andre Ellington isn’t expected to practice this week because of a “severe” hip pointer suffered in Sunday’s loss at Atlanta, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday night, according to Fox reporter and SiriusXM host Alex Marvez. According to Marvez, Ellington’s status will be determined on Sunday, with Arians hopeful he can play. (ProFootballTalk)
FF Today's Take: Ellington has been dealing with a number of injuries this season and even though it's early in the week, it sounds like Ellington may be a scratch for Week 14. Marion Grice would get the start but would likely share carries with Stepfan Taylor. The Cardinals play a late-afternoon game on Sunday against the Chiefs.

Cards rookie to get first crack if Andre Ellington is inactive
Marion Grice likely will be the first one in if Andre Ellington cannot play, but Stepfan Taylor and Robert Hughes will be in the mix, Arians said, while the Cardinals will use a Wednesday padded practice to see where newcomer Michael Bush might fit into the equation. (azcardinals.com)
FF Today's Take: Grice, a 22-year-old Arizona state product drafted in the sixth round by the Chargers, lost out to Branden Oliver in camp and made the move to Arizona when the Cards signed him off the practice squad. While he’s clearly not a world-beater, Grice could see a high number of touches if he gets off to a good start, and will serve as a decent RB3/flex PPR option in deeper formats if Ellington is inactive.

Marion Grice fills in
|Already dealing with a hip flexor, Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington said he suffered a hip pointer after getting kneed in the second quarter of Sunday's 29-18 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
"Got a little bruise, wasn't able to put no pressure on it, so that's pretty much it," Ellington said.
FF Today's Take: Marion Grice came off the bench and rushed five times for 16 yards. The Cardinals were short-handed without Ellington and Larry Fitzgerald (knee). Ellington's been bothered by foot and hip injuries during the year.
