2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
At 34 years of age, Brady put together another stellar campaign, throwing for 5,239 yards with 39 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. The yardage total would have been a league record if not for Drew Brees throwing for even more yards with New Orleans. There doesnít appear to be any slippage in Bradyís game as he enters his 13th season in the league and there is nothing to suggest that he isnít capable of another MVP-caliber season in 2012. In fact, you could easily make the argument that he has the chance to improve on his 2011 production. Starting running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis left in free agency and his most likely replacements consist of a pair of largely unproven second-year players. At wide receiver, the team added a deep threat in Brandon Lloyd as well as a steady veteran producer in Jabar Gaffney. And at tight end, the Patriots feature the most lethal combination of pass receivers in league history in Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez. About the only negatives you can find are that Pro Bowl left tackle Matt Light has retired and left guard Logan Mankins is recovering from a torn ACL. Bradyís a top-three fantasy quarterback for 2012.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Julian Edelman leaves practice (lower leg)     -- Tue Aug 9 11:04 am --

Pats WR appeared frustrated; more reports to follow
Pats Insider Tom E. Curran (@tomecurran) on Twitter: "Julian Edelman has gone off to the side with disgust, threw helmet. Trainer Jim Whalen looking at lower left leg as Edelman sits on cart." (Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The injury was sustained during a joint practice with the Saints on Tuesday. This is not good news for the Patriots, who are already without QB Tom Brady for the first four games of the season. Stay tuned.
Brady gives up legal fight, will serve suspension     -- Fri Jul 15 11:56 am --

DeflateGate comes to and end
Tom Brady announced he is no longer proceeding with legal process vs NFL. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: DeflateGate has come to an end. Brady will miss the first four games of the season and be eligible to return Week 5 against the Browns. Jimmy Garoppolo will face Arizona, Miami, Houston and Buffalo to begin the season. He remains a QB2 for drafting purposes. For the most part, Brady's suspension is already reflected in his QB7, 6th-round ADP although he could slide a couple more spots in the coming weeks.
Brady's Deflategate appeal denied     -- Wed Jul 13 12:30 pm --

Next step: appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's latest attempt to avoid serving a four-game Deflategate suspension to start the new season was flatly rejected Wednesday by an appeals court. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan issued a one-sentence rejection of requests by the National Football League Players Association and Brady to reconsider an April decision that found that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell acted within his powers by suspending the star quarterback for his role in a scheme to doctor footballs used in a January 2015 playoff game. (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: Brady's last gasp is to appeal to the Supreme Court although no decision to take that step has been made. Let's hope it doesn't come to that. Brady remains suspended the first four games of the season. Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to start in Brady's absence.
