|In his two years in Seattle, Whitehurst did little to justify the Seahawks investment in him. And, the teamís decision to forfeit a third round and swap second round picks with San Diego (with the Seahawks moving down) seems to have been a poor one. Simply put, Whitehurst gave up on passing plays too soon, failed to get and stay settled in the pocket and displayed poor accuracy on all but the shortest of passes. His NFL career likely would have been over had the Chargers not decided to attempt to salvage it.
| Pagano wants Luck to "change" running style -- Tue Nov 17 11:46 am --|
Colts coach concerned about QB's long-term halth
|Andrew Luck shouldn't be taking big hits, according to Chuck Pagano, who wants him to be more conservative in his running approach.
"We're going to talk every day until he figures it out and we figure it out as a team," Pagano said. "He knows full well that he can't do that. He can't put himself and this team in jeopardy. You love the grit, and you love the toughness and all that stuff. But playing the position like a linebacker? You can't." (Indianapolis Star)|
FF Today's Take: Luck (kidney) will miss about a month and will be tough to stash as your fantasy season gets into the playoff picture. We don;t recommend a drop, but there's no telling how effective he'll bee when he does return -- especially with Pagano in his head about his playing style. For now, Matt Hasselbeck is slated to be the starter in Week 11 and Charlie Whitehurst is the Colts new backup.
