2014 Outlook
Depth Chart
It is now two years removed from Austinís breakout performance of 1,320 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2009 and the question is whether he will ever approach those numbers again. After a rather pedestrian 2010 season with 1,041 yards and seven touchdowns when quarterback Tony Romo missed most of the season, Austin suffered through an injury-plagued 2011. He missed six games with leg injuries, finishing the season with 43 receptions for 579 yards and seven touchdowns. At just 28 years of age, Austin has plenty left and with the Cowboys likely to rely heavily on the trio of Austin, Dez Bryant and Jason Witten in the passing game, he has a good chance to approach his 2009 production provided he can stay healthy and Romo can stay upright behind a leaky offensive line. Austin shapes up as a high end WR2 with upside in 2012.

Comment: The ongoing hamstring issues for Austin make him a big risk / reward player in 2012.

News From The Past 90 Days
Injury Jordan Cameron limited Thursday     -- Thu Sep 18 3:50 pm --

Likely questionable at best for Week 3
Browns OC Kyle Shanahan said TE Jordan Cameron (shoulder) was "very limited" today. "It can go either way." (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: Cameron sat last week after leaving early in Week 1. With the Browns on a bye in Week 4, it makes a ton of sense to give their talented tight end another two weeks to get his shoulder right. Cleveland doesn't have anything close to a Cameron clone on the roster, so Andrew Hawkins and Miles Austin should continue to see their fair share of targets against the Ravens.
Josh Gordon to miss the 2014 season     -- Wed Aug 27 1:35 pm --

Appeal denied
Josh Gordon will miss the entire 2014 season after the NFL upheld the Cleveland Browns star's yearlong suspension for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. "I'd like to apologize to my teammates, coaches, the Cleveland Browns organization and our fans," Gordon said. "I am very disappointed that the NFL and its hearing office didn't exercise better discretion and judgment in my case." (ESPN)

FF Today's Take: Finally. You can cross Gordon of your re-draft cheatsheet for this season. The league will determine at a later date when Gordon is eligible to be reinstated. Miles Austin, Andrew Hawkins, and tight end Jordan Cameron will be the top three targets for the Browns' quarterbacks. Outside of Cameron, fantasy owners can avoid the Browns passing game.
