Justin Forsett expected to play for Broncos-- Wed Dec 7 8:00 pm --
Denver running game in need of help
No. 3 running back Kapri Bibbs was put on season-ending injured reserve Monday with a high ankle sprain. So the Broncos snagged Justin Forsett off the NFL waiver wire after Detroit cut him Saturday.
“He can help us quick,” Kubiak said, adding that he expects Forsett will play Sunday at Tennessee. “We need somebody to step in and contribute. It was a blessing he was let go the week before what we just went through.”(Denver Post)
FF Today's Take:Forsett is familiar with Kubiak's system from their days together in Houston and Baltimore. He should immediately step into a timeshare with Devontae Booker. Forsett is definitely someone RB-needy fantasy owners can scoop up off the waiver wire.
Zach Zenner, Justin Forsett to share workload-- Sun Oct 16 7:15 am --
FF Today's Take:The Lions are depleted at running back with Theo Riddick (ankle) and now Washington (ankle) ruled out. Neither Zenner or Forsett are fantasy options. Golden Tate might be used a bit more in the short passing game as a result.
FF Today's Take:Riddick missed practice all week with an ankle injury. It's a big loss for Matthew Stafford and the passing game that will also be without Eric Ebron. Expect Dwayne Washington (questionable) and newly signed Justin Forsett to share backfield duties. Neither are recommended fantasy options.
Two days after deactivating Justin Forsett and one day after coach John Harbaugh was non-committal about Forsett’s future, the Ravens parted ways with the veteran running back. The organization informed Forsett of his release on Tuesday.(Baltimore Sun)
FF Today's Take:Forsett was released prior to Week 1 in a move to the help the team with the salary cap. This time it's permanent. With Forsett out, Terrance West and rookie Kenneth Dixon are the frontrunners to be fantasy relevant with Javorius Allen filling a change of pace role.
Terrance West to start for Ravens-- Sun Oct 2 8:15 am --
FF Today's Take:The Ravens run game has been dismal over the first three weeks. West is worth of Flex consideration against the Raiders. There's a chance Javorius Allen could be active for the first time this season.
