2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
After Martellus Bennett physically and mentally imploded last year, Zach Miller stepped in and surprised many, putting up a few TE1 weeks as the year progressed. He set career highs across the board with his 34-439-5 line, and showed an interesting rapport with Jay Cutler. In a vacuum the stats donít jump out at you until you consider that Miller hadnít played in the NFL since 2011! Miller now takes over as the No.1 tight end in Chicago after the departure of Bennett, and after Miller signed a fresh two-year $6 million deal. I donít know that Miller offers enough athletically to have a significant fantasy impact, and if Jeffery and White remain healthy, Iím not sure enough passes will come his way to increase his numbers significantly. He is best thought of as a complementary TE2 at best.

Injury Eddie Royal a gametime decision
Calf injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 9, 9:15 am

Chicgao Bears
Bears pass-catchers Alshon Jeffery (knee) & Zach Miller (ribs) are good to go, but Chicago doesnít know about Eddie Royal (calf). Game-time (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Royal missed practice all week so he's a true gametime decision. If he can't go, Cameron Meredith would get the start and be a viable streaming option against the Colts weak secondary.

Injury Bears receiver Kevin White to go on IR
Fracture in leg, considering surgery
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Oct 5, 12:48 pm

Chicgao Bears
LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- Chicago Bears wide receiver Kevin White will be placed on injured reserve with a fractured left fibula, one year after missing his entire rookie season with a stress fracture in the same leg. (AP)

FFToday's Take: Kevin White sees his fantasy value floored for the second consecutive season as he ends up on the IR with an injury to the same leg that caused him to miss his entire rookie year. Chicago was already starting to lean on veteran Eddie Royal in the passing attack so the largest increase in fantasy value will likely be seen with TE Zach Miller and WR Cameron Meredith. Miller has been gold in the red zone over the past two weeks and should now see a few more targets pushing him into TE1 territory. Meanwhile, Meredith is a six-foot three-inch receiver out of Illinois State in his third pro season. He will only be the fourth or fifth option in the passing game but is worth keeping an eye on in deeper formats. Chicago's best cornerback, Kyle Fuller, is also on IR and the Bears would only be able to bring back one player later this season. This could influence the White's decision on whether or not to have surgery on his leg and effectively ending his season.

Injury Julius Thomas inactive
Elbow injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Oct 2, 8:00 am

Jacksonville Jaguars
Jaguars TE Julius Thomas is out today vs Colts due to elbow injury, per source. Marcedes Lewis expected to start. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: Thomas made the trip to London but unfortunately won't be available in Week 3. Lewis is a TE2. Better options for Thomas owners include Hunter Henry, Zach Miller, Jacob Tamme and Jack Doyle.
