Eagles not shopping Bradford
Broncos mulling other options at QB
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Apr 28, 8:35 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Denver does not expect Philadelphia to trade Sam Bradford to Broncos or to any team, per sources. Broncos now mulling other QB options. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Bradford's request for a trade from the Eagles seems to be falling on deaf ears... as it should. It appears Bradford will be a bridge to rookie Carson Wentz, assuming Wentz is taken by the Eagles at No.2 in tonight's draft.

Sam Bradford wants out of Philadelphia
Won't show up for off-season program
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Apr 25, 11:15 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles have been informed Sam Bradford wants to be traded and he will not be showing up for their off-season program any longer, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Bradford just received a two-year deal for $24 million guaranteed ($36 potential) but now feels threatened by a rookie quarterback and wants to be traded. Geez. The Eagles have stated publically that Bradford will remain the starter in 2016 as they give Wentz a year to acclimate himself to the league.

NFL Draft Eagles grab No.2 pick from Browns
Will quarterbacks go 1-2 in this year's draft?
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Apr 20, 1:44 pm

Cleveland Browns
Eagles have agreed to a trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire the second-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Eagles get: 2016 1st RD (#2), 2017 4th RD. Browns get: 2016 1st RD (#8), 2016 3rd RD (#77), 2016 4th RD (#100), 2017 1st RD, 2018 2nd RD. (Eagles on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It's a big haul for the Browns and a steep price to pay for the Eagles who presumably will take QB Carson Wentz, assuming the Rams take Jared Goff at No.1. The Eagles signed Chase Daniel this off-season and re-signed Sam Bradford giving him $26 million guaranteed over two years.

Eagles, Sam Bradford agree on two-year deal
$26 million guaranteed
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Mar 1, 5:31 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a two-year contract with quarterback Sam Bradford, keeping Bradford off the free-agent market without using the franchise tag. The deal is worth $36 million, with $26 million of that guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. (ESPN)

FFToday's Take: There were rumors and hints that new head coach Doug Pederson may take a run at free agent Chase Daniel given their KC connection but that could have been a media ploy for Bradford negotiations. Bradford was average his first year in Philadelphia playing in 14 games with 19 TDs and 14 INTs in Chip Kelly's offense that struggled with consistency. He finished 22nd among fantasy quarterbacks in 2015 and will be firmly in QB2 territory with limited upside in 2016.

PHI not expected to use franchise tag on Bradford
Teams can begin tagging players today
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Feb 16, 8:30 am

Philadelphia Eagles
The Birds aren't expected to use the 2016 tag, today or at all before the March 1 deadline, to ensure the retention of their most prominent free agent, quarterback Sam Bradford. They still might sign Bradford, but they don't seem wed to him to the extent that they're willing to dedicate $20 million or so of their 2016 salary cap to the notion. (Philly.com)

FFToday's Take: Bradford is likely to be signed but at yearly figure below the $20 million that comes with the franchise tag. Head coach Doug Pederson might prefer other options to Bradford but with a thin QB free agent market his options are slim. Look for Bradford to be the starting QB in Philadelphia in 2016.
