2015 Outlook
Depth Chart
A lot was made of the Broncos’ decision to add Emmanuel Sanders to the offense in place of Eric Decker prior to the 2014 season. Sanders, a smaller, speedier receiver didn’t exactly fit the mold of Decker who is a big, physical receiver that was coming off of back-to-back double digit touchdown seasons in Denver. But while Sanders was used sparingly in Pittsburgh, Peyton Manning and the Broncos saw much more in his game. Sanders took advantage of the opportunity afforded to him when Wes Welker missed the first four games of the season due to a suspension. Sanders made a whopping 32 receptions for 435 yards during those games, proving that he could not only catch the ball down the field, but could also work underneath both on the outside and in the slot. Sanders would never relinquish his starting job and ended the season as the No. 7 receiver in all of fantasy football as he made 101 receptions for 1,404 yards and nine touchdowns.

Now with Welker and tight end Julius Thomas gone, Sanders figures to be an even more important part of the Denver offense this coming season. While the running game will almost certainly play a bigger role, Manning is not suddenly going to become a “game manager.” He’s one of the best of all time and the Broncos would be out of their minds to not give him the opportunity to carve up defenses in 2015. Manning-led offenses are almost always going to be very friendly to its receivers and Sanders stands to have another big year if everything goes as planned. A repeat of his 2014 numbers might be a bit of a stretch, but Sanders should still provide plenty of consistency while mixing in some big games here and there. Don’t be surprised to see him contending again among the top 10 at the position by the end of the season.

Norman to shadow Demaryius Thomas after all?
Struggling WR might see more of All-Pro CB than expected
By: Doug Orth | Thu Feb 4, 7:20 pm

Denver Broncos
Josh Norman intimated that he would be facing Demaryius Thomas and not Emmanuel Sanders on Sunday. (NFL.com)

FFToday's Take: It would be a minor surprise if Norman locks onto Thomas in Super Bowl 50, if only because DT has only six catches for 52 yards and no scores in this year's playoffs against much worse competition than Norman. If Norman does shadow Thomas, look for a heavy dose of Sanders all game long.

Injury Emmanuel Sanders inactive
Ankle injury

Denver Broncos
A surprise: Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders won't play today. This comes after the team saw him warmup (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Sanders (ankle) didn't look comfortable during pregame warmups and has been ruled out. Demaryius Thomas should be the most targeted wideout for new QB Brock Osweiler.

Injury Peyton Manning has plantar fasciitis in left foot
Brock Osweiler replaced Manning in Week 10
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 16, 11:30 am

Denver Broncos
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has plantar fasciitis in his foot, including a partial tear of tissue, an NFL source confirmed Monday. Manning began experiencing pain two weeks ago, then aggravated the injury on the artifical turf at Lucas Oil Stadium eight days ago. He completed 5-of -20 passes for 35 yards and 4 INTS on Sunday against the Chiefs. He is worst in the NFL with 17 interceptions, leaving him on pace for a career-high 30. (Denver Post)

FFToday's Take: Nothing is official but you can expect Brock Osweiler to be under center for the Broncos in Week 11 against the Bears as rest is the best cure for Manning's foot injury. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas are performing more like low-end WR2s than WR1s through ten weeks of the season.

Injury Emmanuel Sanders will be a gametime decision
Missed practice all week
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 14, 11:00 am

Denver Broncos
Coach Gary Kubiak said Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) will be a "game-time decision" for the Broncos against Kansas City Sunday. Sanders did not practice for the third straight day and was listed as questionable on the Broncos' injury report. "I thought he would do a little more," Kubiak said. "He was really sore this morning." Kubiak said Thursday that he expects Sanders to push his way to play Sunday. (Denver Broncos)

FFToday's Take: It's typically a bad sign for players who miss practice on Friday but if Sanders feels good enough to go in pregame warmups, he'll likely give it a shot. The Broncos don't play until late Sunday afternoon so Sanders' owners should be looking for other options.
