2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
It seems almost impossible, but despite the Broncos having one of the least effective and lowest-scoring passing games in all of football in 2015, they were somehow able to produce two top-20 fantasy receivers. Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, make up one of the most talented, dynamic and consistent wide receiver duos in the league. Most importantly for fantasy purposes, neither player seems to be fighting much for playing time as they are by far the unquestioned top two targets in this passing game.

Like Thomas, Sandersí 2015 was a disappointment from a fantasy standpoint as he saw his totals fall nearly 300 yards, 3 touchdowns and 25 receptions from his 2014 output. Still, despite the Denver offense being in complete disarray with duo of bad quarterbacks leading the charge, Sanders still produced quality WR2 numbers, which is what he was expected to do by those who took him in fantasy drafts.

While Mark Sanchez is certainly far from being a stud quarterback, he should be an upgrade from what Sanders dealt with a season ago and that alone should allow his ceiling and floor to rise a bit. Expect Thomas to again produce solid, if not high-end WR2 numbers on the season simply because heís going to be targeted so often.

Injury Demaryius will test hip in pregame warmups
Gametime Decision
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 18, 8:45 am

Denver Broncos
Broncos operating as if Demaryius Thomas will be able to play through hip injury. But they do want to see him test it pregame to make sure. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Thomas has a tasty matchup against the Colts depleted secondary but even if he does play his risk is off the chart. He could be limited. Of the two, Emmanuel Sanders is the better receiver play for fantasy owners.

Injury Demaryius Thomas still hurting
Suffered hip injury early in Week 1 win
By: Doug Orth | Thu Sep 15, 11:55 pm

Denver Broncos
Demaryius Thomas (hip) again stood on the sideline twice as long as he practiced Thursday at Broncos headquarters. The veteran wide receiver tried to shrug off the seriousness of a left hip injury. But a full week after first suffering pain, the hurt is lingering. Just like he did Wednesday, Thomas on Thursday participated in only one-third of the Broncosí practice snaps, coach Gary Kubiak said. He has spent most of this week on the sideline. ďItís day by day. I ainít gonna be feeling great. But itís getting better every day. ... Stopping out of breaks, going down field, even taking hits. With the hip, you never know,Ē Thomas said. (Denver Post)

FFToday's Take: Thomas owners need to start making other plans for Week 2, if not beyond. It is a lot to ask any player to play through a hip injury to begin with, and hip injuries are almost serious in nature. Jordan Norwood and Cody Latimer would be the receivers most likely to fill in should DT miss time, but Emmanuel Sanders and Virgil Green would be the ones to benefit most statistically from his absence.
