2016 Outlook
Depth Chart
The writing might have been on the wall for those who paid attention to Seattleís offense in recent seasons, but few could have predicted just how bad tight end Jimmy Graham would be from a fantasy standpoint. Graham finished last season with just 605 yards in his 11 starts prior to suffering a season-ending knee injury. Worse yet, he scored just two touchdowns. All this after Graham had been the prized off-season acquisition and the player who was supposed to be the teamís leading red zone threat.

The worst part about Grahamís first season in Seattle was the complete lack of consistency he showed. He started the season with two touchdowns in his first three games, but failed to score again in his final eight starts. Not only that, but he failed to reach 80 yards receiving in all but two games. In fact, he finished with 41 or fewer yards receiving in six of his 11 starts. Thatís just not good enough for a player who was being selected as the No. 2 fantasy tight end.

Now that Graham appears to be nearly fully recovered, he will look to erase the 2015 season from his memory and return to the player who was one of the most dominant players in all of football. Fortunately for fantasy owners, the price is substantially lower now than it was heading in 2015, largely due to a serious patellar tendon injury. While his 10th round ADP might rise by the end of August, heíll still likely be one of the last tight ends drafted in most leagues.

Injury Rawls, Prosise progressing
Rawls takes part in team drills; Prosise, Jimmy Graham do not
By: Doug Orth | Mon Aug 15, 5:20 pm

Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls continues to do more at practice. This is the first time all summer he has participated in team drills. C.J. Prosise (hamstring) is practicing for the first time but has not participated in team drills. Jimmy Graham is out here but not participating in team drills. (Sheil Kapadia on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Rawls appears to be on the right track, but Christine Michael's emergence may keep him from living up to his fourth-round ADP. Prosise would seem to have the passing-down role in this offense locked up, but he'll need to take part in team drills at some point in order to guarantee it. Owners should treat anything Graham does this year as a bonus; the road back from a torn patellar tendon rarely comes without significant setbacks.

Injury Jimmy Graham returns to practice
Rehabbing from ruptured patellar tendon
By: Jake Gordon | Wed Aug 10, 7:28 pm

Seattle Seahawks
RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham returned to practice Wednesday for the first time since rupturing his patellar tendon last November. "There were some dark days," Graham said. "It's been eight months. It's been a constant eight months." Graham ran routes and caught passes from the quarterbacks during the first part of Wednesday's practice. Nothing he did required moving at full speed, and Graham stayed on the sideline once the offense and defense started going against each other. Coach Pete Carroll has said that Graham is on track to play in Week 1, barring a setback. (ESPN.com)

FFToday's Take: This is great news for Jimmy Graham and fantasy owners in deeper leagues. Nonetheless, this is the type of injury that can take awhile to overcome even after a player returns to the field. Keep expectations in check and monitor Graham's progress leading up until Week 1. Graham has tremendous touchdown upside for a tight end and can become a steady contributor to fantasy rosters if he returns to health in 2016.

Injury No practice for Rawls, Graham
Seahawks believe RB, TE will be ready for Week 1
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jul 28, 5:10 pm

Seattle Seahawks
Seahawks GM John Schneider: Thomas Rawls (ankle), Jimmy Graham (patellar tendon) won't practice Saturday. Team will bring them along slowly and is still deciding whether they'll start camp on PUP. But both players are on track to be ready for Week 1, (Sheil Kapadia on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Despite the recent public optimism, this should not come as a surprise. We're still a few weeks away from needing to be overly concerned about either player, although Rawls' recovery is a bit concerning from the standpoint his ankle still isn't 100 percent more than seven months after his injury. Rawls is a high-end RB2 if healthy (with obvious risk at the moment) while Graham should be considered a TE2 given the seriousness of his injury.
